Vichy print - spring summer 2016

What to wear in the summer of 2016: Vichy print (vichy) It is a cell of the two-tone stripes on white cotton. The bands can be red, pink, green, black. This cotton has historically produced in the French town of Vichy, cost is very inexpensive, so from it sewed kitchen curtains and tablecloths (white tablecloth in red cells - an indispensable attribute of rustic style). The peak of popularity came in Vichy fabric 60s, when Brigitte Bardot married in a dress made of this fabric. These outfits are my favorite. This kind of print is suitable for tall people and lean.My choices belong from collections of 2015 and 2016, this shows that the Vichy is always in fashion and is a classic that should not be missing in our closets.

Joseph spring-summer 2016

I discovered recently Joseph and I am totally in love with this style simple and elegant way. A garment of joseph clothing can never get out of fashion, you can wear all day long without ever feel out of place wherever you go. It gives you that sense of elegance and comfort. I loved so much the collection spring summer 2016 that I went searching on google information about the designers, I watched old collections and I even found a beautiful fashion review made by London Fashion Review which explains the history of this wonderful brand. Joseph Ettedgui: The Man Behind Joseph ( London Fashion Review ) Born in Casablanca in 1938, the son of a French Moroccan retailer, Joseph Ettedgui came to London, with his brothers, at the end of the fifties to learn the art of hairdressing. In 1960, Joseph and his brothers opened the hair salon, ‘Salon 33’, on London’s Kings Road. Eager to explore new avenues, and with an interest in fashion, Joseph began to display clothing in his salon through a friendship with Kenzo. In 1972, Joseph was stacking striped sweaters, by Kenzo, in the window of his salon, when they were noticed by then fashion editor of The Sunday Times, Michael Roberts. Roberts used the Kenzo sweaters in a photo shoot; the day after the shoot appeared in print, the sweaters had sold out. In the same year, Joseph opened his first fashion shop downstairs to his hairdressing salon, which ultimately laid the foundations for his future success in the fashion industry. Joseph: Multi-Brand Visionaries “I like to dress people, not to make them fashionable,” – Joseph Ettedgui The Joseph fashion label is known for its simple yet adventurously minimal European style; the man himself stimulated his love for more radical fashion by celebrating the work of fellow designers. Since those days, in the early 1970’s, selling Kenzo sweaters from the windows of his hairdressing salon, Joseph Ettedgui continued to introduce Britain to the best and new innovative designers. Throughout his career, Ettedgui championed many a fashion revolutionary including the likes of Azzedine Alaïa, Helmut Lang and Martin Margiela. It was the way Joseph sold it, in high-tech, chrome-and-glass stores that had the streamlined ambience of an Art Deco cruise ship. In the fashion world today, this look would be considered cliché, but in the late 1979, when Joseph’s first multi-brand outlet opened on London’s Sloane Street, the look was ground-breaking. It would set the tone for the rest of Joseph Ettedgui’s career.

Backward shirt trend

This spring it is fashionable to wear the shirt on the contrary, this trend makes me full of joy .I bought two shirts in blue and gray and white striped one size bigger than mine, so to wear the shirt in this way, the problem is solved. I can make at least 4 new outfits without going to the dressmaker and without changing the size of the shirts. These photos I selected on the internet are the ones that best describe this trend. The shirt worn as backward shirt can match with a pair of Levis or a pencil skirt or a pair of elegant trousers capri model but also with a beautiful full skirt.

Blanket scarves

Cool, chic — and above all — warm, blanket scarves are a winter must-have. But to avoid looking like you're just wearing a blanket cape (which, rock it if that's your thing!), there's a ton of different ways to learn how to tie a blanket scarf depending on the look you're going for. A simple scarf fold or belt can easily take your scarf from coffee date to cocktail hour. The best part? You really are just wearing a wonderfully warm blanket in the most fashionable way.

chelsea boots are back

Chelsea Boots, also known as dealer boots, jodhpur boots and paddock boots are close-fitting, ankle-high boots. The most notable features are the elastic side panel and tab of fabric on the back of the boot, enabling it to be slipped on and off. The design's history dates back to the Victorian era, when it was worn by both men and women. Chelsea boots were considered an iconic element of the 1960s mod scene. In the 1950s and '60s, Chelsea boots became popular in the UK – and their association with the King's Road set of Swinging London – worn by everyone from the Rolling Stones to Jean Shrimpton – is believed to explain how the name Chelsea became attached to the boot. The Beatles in 1963, helped to popularise Chelsea boots. These boots are suitable for both women and men already from the beginning .The shape, colors and materials over the years have changed following the trend of the moment, however, are always a good choice and versatile in any occasion of use, combined with casual clothing or elegant.I selected a couple of pictures to show the change of this model over the years and how it has been interpreted and reinterpreted. I already have 4 pairs strictly black in different declination, maybe I exaggerated a bit with the shopping.
